Dr. Ralph Katz is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing at Westside Orthopaedic Clinic for 26 years. He performs minimally invasive procedures among other surgeries with consistently excellent outcomes. For the patient who has failed conservative treatment (e.g. medication, physical therapy, injections), a minimally invasive procedure such as a micro-discetomy could be the treatment that relieves your pain and can be done in an outpatient setting. The procedure typically takes about an hour. Most patients can return to normal activities within four to six weeks. Additionally, Dr. Katz performs other spinal procedures such as; cervical and lumbar fusions, utilizing small incisions techniques with minimally invasive systems when needed. He is one of a few local surgeons who perform both cervical and lumbar disc replacements.
